A woman was stabbed on Saturday night during an attempted robbery on Marine Parade.
It happened at about 8:48 when Kerry Esquivel sat parked on her motorcycle on Marine Parade. That's when she was approached by two men who told her to hand it over. But, not one to be taken advantage of, Esquivel took out her pepper spray and aimed it straight at them. And while this didn't completely deter the robbers it certainly angered them. They responded by punching her to the face and inflicting her with a stab wound before running off into the night.
Esquivel would manage to get help by making it to a nearby Pizza shop. Here's more on the incident from the cops, earlier today.
Reliable information to 7News is that Esquivel has been attacked in Belize City at least once before.
