Last Friday we told you that a minor was in critical condition and a 25-year-old father of one was dead after they were both shot on Thursday night. According to reports, Dorian Tzac and 14-year-old Josue Daniel Villalta Echavarria were inside Tzac's room when a gunman barged in and opened fire. And while Tzac's family is still grieving the death of the young father, they are one more step closer to receiving justice. That's because the police have charged a Ladyville resident for his murder. Communications officer, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood told us more, but first, we must note that while he called the murder victim "Daniel," his name is actually "Dorian."

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Last week's murder, where Mr Daniel Tzac was killed, we have since made the arrest of one Malcolm Muschamp, a 20-year-old, he was charged for murder and for the 14 year old minor he was also changed for attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, and dangerous harm. So he should been taken to court today to be arraigned."

"I must make mention that the assailant in this case is from a Ladyville address so that wouldn't put us to say that the rival was from his immediate area, so that one was ruled out, but as soon as I get the clear motive I will send that to you."

And in addition to those charges, the 20-year-old was also charged with kept firearm without a gun license after he was found in possession of a 9mm pistol. He was arraigned today where no plea was taken from him and there are additional charges pending as well.

According to the police, Muschamp was caught because the mobile patrol saw him running on Antelope Street with the gun in his hand shortly after the murder. In an interview with the officers, Muschamp admitted to being at the murder scene but claimed that he wasn't the one who pulled the trigger, but was just hiding the firearm. However, he never gave the name of his alleged accomplice.

Muschamp is currently on remand.
