There's been a lull in gang-related murders but we know that it only takes one spark to ignite a series of retaliations. And that's why there's a new OC in town, to try and quell the flames. ACP Howell Gillett had a customary meet and greet today in the Martin's area, but he wasn't alone. He brought church leaders to join him on the walk, and today, they spoke to the gang figures about religion and God. It's their hope that these men can "find the light," but according to the gangs, it's going to take less talk and more action for the crime to stop - starting with the children who have been out of school for the past two years. Courtney Menzies was there during the intervention and has this story.
ACP Gillett also mentioned that they're planning to change the name "Ghost Town" and they will be inviting the residents to pick new names that are less sinister.
