As we told you at the top of the news Shyne Barrow is back from Liberia and back on the campaign trail in San Pedro tonight. There are only 516 delegates voting in Sunday's convention - but he and his opponent Tracy Taegar Panton have crisscrossed the country several times to appeal to these delegates and keep them on lock.

But, one week away from the convention - Shyne Barrow made a quick run halfway across the world to Liberia. Today we asked him if he took his eyes off the prize:

Jules Vasquez
"What are you doing in Liberia? You need to be here to campaign."

Hon. Moses "Shyne" Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"I'm headed to San Pedro right now to campaigned. My schedule was fixed whereas from Sunday to Friday I would not have any physical activities with me personally. My campaign committee is vast, so they are out on the ground, because I need to prepare for tomorrow budget speech to talk about this bankrupt budget of betrayal is what I call it."

Jules Vasquez
"How is the campaign looking, because the vibes I'm getting is that at best for you it is neck and neck, because you are running against a widower and she is running on what some say is co-ticket, its Tracey and Herbert, the memory of this beloved figure in the UDP."

Hon. Moses "Shyne" Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Yes, I've had an excellent time on the campaign trail. I am extremely grateful for the reception that I have gotten for the commitments that I have gotten and I couldn't be in a better position. Obviously in politics when the ballots are counted then you'd know what would happen, but I have absolutely no doubt that on Sunday March 27th, I will emerge as the leader of the United Democratic Party."

Jules Vasquez
"Some people are saying the Shyne/Saldivar ticket is playing stink and keeping the delegates who may support you in the various constituencies away from meeting Tracey."

Hon. Moses "Shyne" Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"You know what I love about you, when you take my opponents narrative and then you conflate it with other people or some people, when you know who you are talking about. I'm not going to dignify what my opponent say, because they will say whatever they want to say and my ticket is Shyne Barrow with Beverly Williams, with Hugo Patt, with Deny Grajalva, with John Saldivar, with John August, with Omar Figueroa, with OJ Elrington, with Dianne Finnegan, with Melvin Hewlett, with Carlos Zetina, with Dr. Angel Campos, with Pablo Marin, with Tony Heredia..."

Jules Vasquez
"Are you all playing stink and keeping your delegates who support you away from...."

Hon. Moses "Shyne" Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"I am not going to dignify that ridiculous aspersion. Anybody that is campaigning has the numbers and the names of the delegates and it is up to them to arrange whatever they need to arrange."

Shyne and Taegar-Panton will have tomorrow and Friday's budget debate as their last proving ground before Sunday's convention.
