There is also another disturbing cell phone video that went live on Facebook this weekend. In it, a young woman, who appears to be in her 20s, was recorded as being partially nude inside the Thirsty Thursday nightclub.
Police suspect at this early stage that she may have been the victim of a possible date-rape attempt, where an unknown person drugged her. She is seen intoxicated, under some unknown substance, resisting the efforts of other clubgoers who tried to help her cover up.
Today, the Police Commissioner publicly urged her to make a formal report to the Criminal Investigations Branch:

"I'm not sure if an official complaint has been lodged with the police. I was also sent that video footage with the young lady inside the nightclub, and I must say it's very disturbing. I don't understand what would possess a person to do such a thing to a woman. And again, it goes to show that women need to be more careful when they're out socializing, especially in settings where men are. Because the truth be told, there'll be men out there who will prey on the weaknesses of women. And if it is that they know a woman is a person who consumes alcohol heavily, they're going to use that as a vehicle to get the woman to [be] subdued or to submit to them. And we have to be very careful with our women, where that is concerned. Certainly, it's something that requires an investigation. I know it is going to be difficult to ascertain at this time what type of drug, if any, was given to her because of the fact that the time has elapsed - the amount of time has elapsed. It will be difficult for us to get even a sample of the content of what she may have consumed. And so, it is going to be difficult, but there are certain things that we certainly can do that will be done, see what we can get from the investigation. So, it's not an investigation in futility, I must say. I still believe that there's a lot that can be garnered from what we are going to do. I'm not going to say what we'll do, because then I certainly will be giving leads or tips to whoever may have done what was done to her. But I would also invite the young lady, to please visit the CIB office in Belize City and make a complaint so that we will have something that we can use as a starting point."
Like other viewers of the video, the Commissioner was outraged that at the first instance, other bystanders were more interested in recording her partially nude instead of helping or walking away.
The management of Thirsty Thursday made a public statement saying quote, "To the person or persons who did this, I say to you that you are the scum of the earth. Let me say that if the relevant authority decides to conduct an investigation we will 100% support [it]. Your patronage is not welcome at Thirsty Thursday and if we find out who you are we will attempt to have you incarcerated. Be assured that the management and staff will continue to do their utmost to ensure the safety of our patrons." End quote.
