Kolbe Foundation Inmate Winston Dennison died in his jail cell last night after an extended bout of what Kolbe CEO Virgilio Murillo is calling depression.
Dennison who was being treated for at least one mental illness had been referred to the KHMH last week but had been released with doctors declaring him in good health.
But tonight, he's dead having passed away quite suddenly.
The 65 year old was serving a 33 year sentence for unlawful carnal knowledge and manslaughter.
He'd found himself in prison for a second time in 2012 after being convicted of 3 counts of carnal knowledge for which he was sentenced to 33 years. At the time, Dennison was on parole for a conviction of manslaughter - so that term was re-activated.
CEO Murillo said this evening that Dennison had quote: "quite a lot of years left to serve." and that as far as he know the 65-year-old died of natural causes. But he added that he is awaiting the postmortem results before he gives an official statement.
Dennison's body is at the morgue awaiting a postmortem.
