Today, the police communications officer filled in an important piece of the puzzle; he disclosed that Palma recently made a police complaint against an individual, who must now be questioned about shooting death:
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Residents in that area complained of shots being heard. When police arrived on a street in that area of Ladyville, they found 24-year-old Iwin Palma suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead. Initial investigations reveal that sometime after 12, Mr Palma was attacked by a lone gunman who inflicted these fatal wounds to him."
Courtney Menzies:
"Any motive as yet?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Well I know that on the 16th of June, Mr Palma made a complaint to the police. The full contents of that complaint, I will not get into, but I know we made an arrest reference that complaint and we at the police department believe that the person that was arrested for that incident, that the two incidents are probably related so the investigators are looking at that angle and other angles but most definite that is the most recent incident so hopefully by the end of the day, we could shed some light."
"I know that a male person was charged for aggravated assault against Mr Palma, like I said I won't go into the contents of that report. But we are definitely looking at that incident."
