On Tuesday we brought you the story of Jennifer Reneau, who was allegedly beaten with a metal pipe by her landlord on Sapodilla Street in Orange Walk. She told us that she had just returned home on Sunday when he attacked her in front of her young kids, leaving her severely injured - to the point of needing surgery - and her children traumatized.
Since then we can tell you that the landlord, Eddie Tillett, has been charged for burglary, wounding, and damage to property. He was arraigned yesterday in the Orange Walk Magistrate's Court and remanded to prison.
Reneau explained that she believes the reason he attacked her was because she had plans to move out of the house, but told him that she had to find another place to rent first. He reportedly got impatient and that was when he got violent with her.
