At the top of the news, we told you how Caribbean International Brewery Limited made a donation of funds to the Belize Rural Primary School in the village of Double Head Cabbage. They cut a cheque for $5,000, which will go toward fixing the damages to the primary school in the wake of Hurricane Lisa's passage.

Well, that's not the only donation they have made toward Belizeans who need some relief. Recognizing the need in Belize City - and eager to generate some PR goodwill after being dragged through the court system, Kevin Xin, one of the company's main shareholders, has decided to make a major donation to the storm-affected victims.

As viewers are aware, Xin and his company are in a no-holds-barred legal battle with Belizean law enforcement over the October raid of their compound, which led to the seizure of their 3.1 million dollars in funds. But today, he and members of multiple law enforcement agencies played nice and found a common cause in the name of charity for disaster relief.

In a statement announcing the donation, Xin says, quote,

"At this time, our company is pledging to donate all the H2O bottled purified water we currently have in our warehouse (about 1,000 cases of purified water) to the people of the city today, Monday, November 7th.

In addition, since the company's legal income and charity funds have been frozen by the relevant departments, now the production and staff salaries are maintained by borrowing money, but still, we will try our best to donate $20,000 to the people in the disaster area to help those in most need!" End quote.
