Back in April of 2022 we told you about domestic violence survivor Vanessa Reyes, she was nearly killed during a public attack when her ex-partner Christon Rocha stabbed her in the temple and the chin, but that was 7 months ago.
Today Rocha pleaded guilty to wounding, and with that the attempted murder charge was withdrawn.
He was fined, but not confined and the judge ordered that he receive counselling,. He also cannot get involved in any legal issue during the next calendar year.
As for Vanessa Reyes, she says she's fine with the ruling, telling 7 news via Facebook message tonight; " I'm honestly satisfied with the charge and how he owned (up) to his action and apologized to me and my family. We are good." End quote.
