Man Charged For Killing Cop

And while Rocha is not behind bars tonight, a cop killer is detained after he was charged for murdering 27-year-old PC Lorray Arzu.

PC Arzu was shot on October 12 while she was sitting in a car with another man on Bishop Martin Street in Dangriga. Initial reports were that the man she was with, 45-year-old Lionel Rowland, and the assailant had had an argument, and when Rowland and Arzu got into the vehicle, the gunman opened fire on them.

Arzu clung to life for three and a half days on life support before she passed away at the KHMH.

And today, 28-year-old Raheem O'Neal Vernon, a Gales Point resident, was arrested for her murder.

Arzu had been a part of intake 95 and had recently joined the ranks of the police force before she was killed.
