He was accused of killing 12 year old Jackie Fern Malic in 1999 - but was never convicted and her murder remains unsolved.
But, tonight, Michael Williams is facing another set of very serious charges: he's accused of stabbing his wife, and his two children.
Cayo Police responded to the report that there had been a stabbing around 6:00 am on Saturday in Esperanza Village. They found 46 year old Angelita Requena lying motionless in front of the door along with 16 year old Michael Williams Jr., and 14 year old Kia Williams - all of them had stab wounds.
At this time, it is unclear what happened inside the house. But, so far, the investigation shows that their main suspect, Michael Williams Sr., was in a domestic dispute with his common-law wife. The incident escalated when he pulled a knife and attacked her and his two children.
Police shared a few more details during their press briefing this morning in Belmopan:
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division

"On Saturday, November 19th, 2022, police responded to a stabbing incident in Esperanza Village. Upon arrival, they learned that three persons received stab wound injuries. They were taken to the hospital and one of the victims was further taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where she is admitted in a critical condition. An investigation was carried out and it was determined that Angelita Requeña, forty-six-years-old, had a domestic dispute with her common-law Michael Williams who inflicted the stab injuries to three of them. An investigation was carried out and Michael Williams was detained and he has since been charged for three counts of attempted murder."
