B’zean Accountant Murdered in Puerto Cortez

A well known Belizean accountant from Big Creek was shot and killed in Puerto Cortez, Honduras last week.

Arturo Magana who worked for years at the Big Creek Port was reportedly in Puerto Cortez on personal business when he was targeted in what looks like a hit. Honduran media reports that his wife told police that they were staying in a hotel and went out to buy dinner when they were intercepted by a man on a motorbike, who didn't say a word, and opened fire on Magana. He died on the scene in the Rio Mar area of Puerto Cortes.
