And turning now to Crime Prevention news, we're looking back at last night's UNCUT when host Jules Vasquez asked LIU Chairman William Dawson and Executive member Dr Richard Rosado whether they're paying the gangs to keep the peace while calling it a clean-up campaign.

Here's what they said and why they took issue with the question.

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"Remember like what William said within tier one the lack of employment, there is employment opportunities, lack of employment opportunities so what we are doing, why we are creating temporary employment opportunities we are at the same time developing them with marketable skills which we believe will lead, eventually lead to meaningful income which will eventually lead to the opportunity costs of committing a crime."

Jules Vasquez
"At the end of the day there are law-abiding citizens out there who clean their own neighbourhoods, clean their own surroundings and will say I don't get paid for that and I shouldn't get paid for that, they shouldn't either that's what some people argue.

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"As said we have to look at the root cause of the behavioural pattern of these persons, they might not have been able to access them because there are poor people all around but they have a lot of poor people who have that structure in their homes where there's a mom and a dad or there is a mom and a dad but instil. That moral and that values in their children but at the same time we have to look at it through a psychological perspective where these people were not able to access this type of opportunity before so we have to open them up to understand that the way you are living is not normal sir, you are not even able to come out of your own community."

Jules Vasquez
"How many people are on the LIU's payroll?"

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"I would say close to 300 people"

Dr. Rosado
"Employment, not payroll but -"

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"Not payroll, temporary employment like what the Dr. said because at the end of the day like I explained we have to attempt programs, some of these programs are entrepreneurial programs after you finish these programs there is access to start-up funds you get your business registered, these are all things that we see would help us in the interim."

Jules Vasquez
"But there are only so many times you can clean up your neighbourhood."

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"And that's why there are cycles. It's not one set of people running around, in fact the 100 persons you've seen. There will be four cycles of 100 people."

Jules Vasquez
"Is it a type of, it can be argued it's a type of societal extortion that, oh you want us to hold it down, run some money because the reason we are doing this is that we don't have any money?"

William Dawson, Chairman, LIU
"No, well like I said if we have all the systems in place eventually what you will see is a change of mindset."
