But, on Saturday night's video, the full body and gait of the killer is visible - and that's one of the key things that pointed investigators to Nah. As you heard, when they went to search his house, he had a light on his head. But, more than just the bearing of the man, police and so many members of the public who saw the video - witnessed a chilling and ruthlessly efficient killer at work. We asked the commissioner for his reaction:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"It was certainly nauseating to say the least. Clearly, this is my opinion: the shooter have a wealth of experience in handling a firearm, the way he manoeuvre the firearm and himself shows that he is well-trained and like you rightly said he had a specific intent to kill. Even after he had shot the victims outside, he went in, came out back and what he did when he came back outside showed the clear intent to kill."
Jules Vasquez
"From the video you saw, is that your experience in life in law enforcement. Is that the first time that suspect, the person seen in that video has killed or is that a professional killer at work?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I cannot say that."
Jules Vasquez
"You have handled a firearm in the line of duty, I know you don't like guns, but you have handled a firearm in the line of duty, you know that in order to pull the trigger one has to have many thoughts. It's not something done thoughtlessly or with impunity. What we saw on that video is someone who is very comfortable pulling the trigger any number of times. If that suspect as you all claimed is a law enforcement - somebody who gave his career to law enforcement. He had been in the department at the time of interdiction and is still in the department for at least 19-20 years. This person, he kills without compulsion the person seen in that video whoever that is."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I can't say if he has killed before. Certainly, I would agree that the manner in which he did it is outrageous and demonstrates some level of experience or expertise in the handling of firearm. But I cannot go to the extent of saying that he has killed before. I cannot say that."
Jules Vasquez
"When you also say some remorselessness?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yes, certainly."
Jules Vasquez
"Is that something that is a value that people in law enforcement have - you fire a gun with remorseless?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"As police officers we are not trained that way. Police are not trained to kill. Police are peacemakers, we are civil law enforcement agencies. It's not like the military; they are trained to shoot and kill. We are different."
Jules Vasquez
"What we saw on that video is someone who apparently is trained to kill?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Perhaps, but not trained by us."
