But might police also have to investigate former senior officer, Marco Vidal? It is well known that the former Assistant Commissioner of Police Marco Vidal is Elmer Nah's uncle. That's why it raised eyebrows and blood pressure readings when he was captured on camera on Saturday afternoon - along with another relative named Nah going to visit a grocery store near to the Ramnarace murder scene in Maya Mopan. The strong suggestion is that he went to find out if the store owners had surveillance video implicating Nah and to get them to delete it. Well, sources close to Vidal tell us that he did go to inquire about the video footage, but because he is trying to corroborate Nah's alibi narrative - NOT to ask for footage of that night to be deleted.

We are told he was rebuffed and police were called because the store owners felt it was kinda shady.

Today, the police communications officer spoke in very general terms and told the public, if they get a visit, what they should do:

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, Belize Police Department

"When your relative is in trouble you will do anything to try to disprove the law or investigators so if that person is out there tampering with witnesses and these witnesses report it to the police then we know exactly how to deal with those persons but if you sit in silence and don't report it to the police then we wouldn't have knowledge of what we are going through but I want to take this opportunity to invite these persons, whether you are being interviewed or asked for your video footage and so forth to call us and notify us so that we can put a stop to these persons. We don't want anyone to interfere with the wheels of justice and we at the department hold the victims of these crimes the responsibility of bringing those responsible to justice for them on their behalf."

It's unclear if the police plan to investigate Marco Vidal for any kind of wrongdoing in this case.

We did ask Vidal for a comment but got no response.
