A 4 year old baby died last night in an accident on the Valley of Peace road. Javin Alvarez's family says the toddler liked to accompany his father everywhere. And last night he went with him on a quick run - but died on the road when his father, Desi Alvarez lost control of his pickup and it flipped on the side of the road. Baby Alvarez was not in a baby seat and experienced serious head injuries. The toddler was rushed to the hospital but he didn't make it.

Today, a family member told PLUS TV that the boys father was blinded by the high beams of an oncoming truck:

Freddis Marin, Relative of Deceased
"He loves his father; he was taking a ride with his father and they went to Westar to drop off a guy. After that they were coming back and before they got to the bridge there was a truck coming from the bridge towards Westar and he had on high beam at that was when he got blind and he lost control of the vehicle. That's what I know and they he came off the road. The sad part was that he overturn on the side where the baby was and that's where he got injured

and passed away. It was very sad, because he just started pre-school and he was so happy. Every day he was here with his mother showing what he did at school. It's very hard. He is a young boy, 4 years old - have all his life to live. Its very sad to hear about this."

Alvarez's pickup truck did not have valid insurance.
