He was a well known police officer and today on social media, many mourned the passing of police Inspector Graziano "Charo" Briceno.
The 43 year old died last night at the Northern Regional Hospital from what are being called medical complications.
A statement from the commissioner of police says "Charro was an exemplary officer who never allowed his size to keep him from doing any assigned task. He was a people person, a motivator and a hard working and committed officer. Our police family will certainly miss his jokes, laughter and most importantly his work ethics and good sense of humor." End quote.
Indeed, Briceno was known as a large man, but also a capable cop, and a very likable person.
He was also Prime Minister John Briceno's first cousin, they are sons of two brothers. Charo was the father of a 14 year old and no funeral announcements have been announced.
