They allegedly tried to snatch a money bag from a messenger and today Paul Alvarez Jr., and a 16 year old minor were taken to court and charged for theft.

Last week Wednesday, Carlo Keith, an accountant of Northern Fisherman Cooperative was on motorcycle returning from the bank to his workplace. He had just made a run for some cash to make payments, but on Victoria Street, just a few hundred feet from his office, one in a group of 3 men on the side of the road hit his shoulder, causing him to lose control of the motorbike and crash to the pavement.

That's when he scrambled to grab the bag with cash and make a dash to his office on foot, securing the funds from theft.

Today, 30 year old Paul Alvarez Jr. from the Pickstock Street Hutment along with a 16 year old minor were arraigned on separate charges of attempted theft and harm. They pleaded not guilty and were offered bail.

Alvarez met bail but the minor whose bail was $600, was unable to post bail; he was remanded to the Wagners Youth Facility.
