And now in political news...Shyne Barrow looks like he's ready to reconcile with Patrick Faber in the endless soap opera that is the UDP.

And after the re-emergence of John Saldivar as a standard bearer - despite his designation as significantly corrupt - why not bring back Faber, despite the allegations of domestic abuse?

That's never going to make him lose in the Collet constituency - where ehe is the 5 term rep.

Today on Sunup on 7, Leader Shyne Barrow said there have been talks:

Shyne Barrow, Leader Of the Opposition

"But we've all been having conversations behind the scenes. I've spoken to Hon. Patrick Faber as recent as last house meeting privately and that is a process, because there is a candidate on Collet and so no one can make that decision, not the NPC, not the party leader, no one. It has to be a collaborative decision and Mr. Jones has to accede and so what that looks like? We're discussing that. I have no objections if we can come to terms with the vision being trying to win elections, one party leader, one party, one goal, one mission - If we can all get on that page. I've discuss the matter with Mr. Jones, I've discuss it with Hon. Faber and if we can come to terms I don't see that being a difficulty, but the respect for contributions that the Hon, Faber has made to the UDP to the nation as a minister of education, the longest serving minister of education, 5 term area rep., you cannot dismiss those contributions on a national level, on a party level and so I am hopeful that we can reconcile and I look forward to that day."

We'll have more from Shyne's Sunup appearance a little later in the news, including his admission that Saldivar was always going to win Belmopan.
