On Monday we told you about the tragedy on the San Antonio Road in Orange Walk where four persons were killed in one terrible collision: a family of three - including a small child, along with the driver's sister. Aldair Tillet was driving a Ford Ranger with passengers Felicia De La Fuente - who was his common law wife, their four year old daughter Alisha Tillet and his 18 year old sister Janina Tillet.

Just outside Yo Creek, a Ford F-150 driven by 35 year old Beyron Tillett crashed into them and tonight he has been charged.

He faces (4 ) Counts of Manslaughter by Negligence, (4) Counts of Causing Death by Careless Conduct, (1) Count for Failed to provide Specimen and (1) Count of Drove motor vehicle without due care and attention.

The failure to provide a specimen - which is a minor charge - means that his blood alcohol level could not be tested so it will never be known if he was driving under the influence.

But, the deceased driver of the other vehicle, Aldair Tillett was in Botes earlier that night and he had been drinking. On Monday his mother gave me a cautionary tale for anyone who would think of drinking and driving:

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"For people who drink, my son used to drink and I won't say he didn't drink his two beers at Botes. He drank his two beers at Botes because my daughter, she sent us, she took her picture with the six-pack and the ceviche from Botes but drinking is something that doesn't carry anything good in life. I every time I told him if you drink don't drive and every time he was drinking his dad used to say if you are going to take the truck to the factory… If you want to drink, drink. Tell me and I will go and find another driver and if you are going to take the truck don't drink. So that is what I can say, please if you are drinking and you think you can do bad to other people please try to not do it. Think of others."

We'll let you know when Beyron Tillett is arraigned.
