And while Madam Speaker keeps it strictly in the house, Shyne Barrow is keeping it in the court of public opinion. He believes - as every single leader of the opposition ever did - that the treatment is not even on both sides of the house floor:
Jules Vasquez
"So, the prime minister cursed in two successive house meetings, do you think if you cursed in the House you would be let off like that or would you…Is the treatment equitable? Would you have been forced to recant or withdraw?"
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"The pattern is showing that I would have been compelled to withdraw and had I refused, then I would have been asked to withdraw from the House for the day. But, yeah it would appear that there is not that equitable in enforcement of the Standing Orders and it definitely amplifies the overreaction in the off the record, in candid statement of someone acting like a PUP. Again, my granny did say, Come anything except one. Perhaps I would understand why someone would be offended."
