On Friday we told you that yet another Belize City man, George Hernandez aka "Tarrus" had gone missing. The last contact was a week ago when he told his family he was boarding a bus from Teakettle to Belize City.
Hernandez was heading down to comfort his mother after a difficult day in court with her younger son, Adrian Hernandez, a 17-year-old high schooler who has been charged with murder.
But he never arrived, and one week later, he hasn't gotten in touch with any of his family members even the sister with whom he is very close. 7News got in touch with her this evening and via phone, she told us that the family quote: "Got a funny kind of call this morning." She wouldn't elaborate on what that meant, but expressed concern for George's well-being.
Notable is that George Hernandez was among the initial suspects for the murder of Emert Flowers, the murder with which his younger brother is now charged. Another man, Kyle Latchman, who is Flowers' son disappeared around the same time as his father's murder. His family presumes him to be dead but to date, his remains have not been found.
We'll keep following this story and bring you more from the Hernandez family tomorrow when they are expected to begin searches for George.
