At the start of the month, we told you about two officers who reportedly got into a confrontation at the Dangriga police station. The argument ended with one cop pointing a loaded gun at the other. But while 25-year-old PC Tyrell Rowley was arrested and charged, one witness statement from the diarist claims that it was the other way around, and that it was the other cop, PC Jevon Logan, who pointed the gun.
Today we asked the ComPol to clear up the situation, and here's what he told us.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"The report that you all received was not completely accurate. Like I said an investigation was done and the investigation revealed that only one officer pulled gun and that one officer who pulled the gun was held to account for it."

"But sir, we saw a witness statement from one of the officers who was within Dangriga station at the time of the incident explaining that it was actually I think Rowley was the one charged, so it was actually Logan who pulled the firearm, because apparently Rowley walked away from the argument and went outside to cool off and Logan followed him outside and pulled the gun at him."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"When I heard of it, I contacted commander PSB and I told him, as a matter of fact my directive was that both of them must be dealt with. When the investigation was done, I was briefed by commander PSB that Logan did not pull a weapon, that he went to an area in the station where weapons were kept and as he walked to the area, Rowley took out his gun and pointed it at him and said 'not another move'. And based on that Logan stood down. So, again from what I was briefed, I was not in the station, I can only go by what I was briefed by commander PSB and he has said that it was only Rowley who pulled the weapon."
"Now, I had serious issues with certain things, but that's for internal consumption. I'm not going to put that out there."
