And in court, two men were arraigned for an assault in Burrell Boom that occurred over the weekend. We told you on Monday that a Coast Guard Officer, 34-year-old Daniel Sabido, was left partially paralyzed after he was attacked while attending a basketball game.

Reports surrounding this incident are conflicting - some claiming Sabido as the attacker, while others as the victim. But according to an eyewitness, 30-year-old Robert Tillett told police that a man known to him as "Bol" pulled out a machete and started to attack Sabido. After that, a group of men began attacking both Sabido and Tillett.

After recording the statement, police then arrested "Bol" who was identified as 52-year-old Garryson Nicholson. They later also arrested 38-year-old Adrian Myvett.

Nicholson was the first to go to court today. He was read a single charge of aggravated assault with a machete upon another man 30-year-old Robert Tillett. Tillett was reportedly injured while intervening in the fight on behalf of Sabido.

Nicholson, who was unrepresented in court, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same amount, which he met. His next court date is set for September 5th.

Following that was the arraignment of 38-year-old Adrian Myvett. He was read two counts of attempted murder and one court of possession of a controlled drug for 11.63 grams of cannabis. No plea was taken from him for the attempted murder, however, he pleaded guilty to the drug possession and was fined $400 plus a %5 cost of court, which he has until September 29th to pay, in default 4 months' imprisonment. His next court date will also be on September 5th.
