And while the Commissioner sees multiple differences between the March murder of Dyandre Chi and this event - many townspeople only see the similarities - and one of them is what they feel is a lack of police accountability.

For example, some claim that shots were fired during the chase - which the police emphatically deny.

Commissioner Williams says that another tool could help provide more definitive accountability:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"There are things that we will do internally to allay these issues, like for examples, I just gave instructions to Mr Guzman to see how we can install dash cameras on our vehicles. Dash cameras will help in instances where you're in pursuit, as it will give us an appreciation of what happens during the pursuit. In the absence of that, then we have to rely on what the police officers are saying, or what the witnesses are saying, but unfortunately sometimes we don't have that so the dash cams will be a great help."

Courtney Menzies:
"But wouldn't it provide, or, it would have the same problem as the body cams where there's no structure in place - the officers go out, maybe they have the body cams on but what do they do with that footage afterwards, if it's just erased, does it go into a database, so that it can be checked afterwards?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"They do go into a database, every time the body cam goes to station, the footage is download from the body cam to the system, and we keep that."

"They had body cams but again if you're sitting down in a vehicle, the body cam will not be able to pick up what's happening outside. The dash cam will assist us in that respect."

We note that police bodycams were introduced over a year ago - and we have yet to see even a frame of video from those units.
