So, now, after the March murder of Dyandre Chi - and the subsequent police efforts to regain the community's trust - any goodwill that was restored had been lost because, plainly put, the public feels that the cops deliberately ran over Sacul and Guerra.

So, once again, relations between the community and the cops are fraught, and, moreover, what can only be called the motorcycle gang in that town has been angered into action.

In March they took their protest in front of the Prime Minister's house in Orange Walk town, and last night they stoned the hospital.

So, are these previews of possible retaliatory acts from the community against the police? we asked the Compol today.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"There was an issue at the Northern Regional Hospital in the aftermath of the passing of the young man. Police were called and we had sent additional police from Belmopan to Orange Walk for assistance. And from what I observed on the footage, it shows that the police did exercise great restraint in the circumstances. We were able to hold the area until the crowd decided to disperse without any incidents so I think that's commendable on the part of the police."

Reporter:
"Any arrests regarding that incident there?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We have not and I don't think we are going to arrest anybody, unless there is some damage to property and the hospital would have to report that to the police, we would investigate that, and who needs to be charged will be charged. But as of now, there have been no reports."

Reporter:
"Do you expect in the next few weeks or the near future that there will be any sort of retaliation because they think it is the police's fault?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well I cannot say at this time, we would have to speak to them and see what their concerns or intentions are and then we see what goes from there."

"I would rather wait until the dust has settle and they have fully digested what happened and then I can go and speak with them."
