So, that's the death of Jesus Sacul, now to the apparent murder of another young father from Orange Walk.
Tonight, Guinea Grass resident Derrick Bull is in police custody pending charges of murder. This is after he allegedly killed his 19 year old son-in-law because he was physically abusing Bull's daughter.
Bull received a call that his daughter and Jimenez were in a physical altercation at their home. It wasn't the first time, so Bull took matters into his own hands, showed up at his daughters residence and allegedly shot and killed Jimenez. Jomarie Lanza spoke with the teenager's grieving mother at her home today.
A domestic dispute between a young couple in Guinea Grass village on Saturday led a fedUP a father in law to commit the unthinkable inside this very home. He walked into the house his daughter shared with 19 year old Jael Jimenez - and shot him dead with his licensed firearm.
Jimenez, the father of one, was found by his mother slumped over with a single gunshot wound to his chest. She had rushed over to check on her youngest son, after she heard he and his common law wife had a physical altercation.

"We had just gotten back from the ranch. My husband went upstairs and I stayed downstairs. When my husband received a call from my other son who told him "dad come here at the other house they are fighting" my son and his woman. But when they called him my husband said he heard someone screaming in the background " Let him go Brianny let him go" and my husband said let's go see what's happening. So we went. When I got out from the truck I only took three steps and heard Bam. I said hey? Is my son throwing stones or bottles? I ran towards the house and when I looked inside my son was falling down with a shot in his chest."
Jimenez says that her son and his common law fought often but the fights became so frequent that they rarely bothered to intervene unless things got out of control.
And so it did over the weekend, when Jimenez arrived at the house and attempted to confront her son's killer, his father in law. He then turned the same gun on her before he walked off the property.

"But before I got there the man who did this was leaving to go out on the street. And when I got there I began pulling on his shirt and asking him what did you do to my son? What did you do? He pulled out his gun and pointed it at me and when he did that my other son pulled me and said mom we need to take Jael. He is dying. My son was bleeding out and right there and then he took his last breath. And when we got him to the hospital he was already dead."
Jimenez says that her son was an excessive drinker but that still did not give his father in law the right to kill him. He entered the home and shot Jael without saying a word then left and went into hiding hours after.
Derrick Bull later handed himself in over to the police along with his attorney, and the Jimenez's are now seeking justice.

"He was drinking. I won't say he wasn't, yes, he was drinking."

"And did they always live a turbulent life?"
Irene Jimenez, Mother of deceased
"Always, they fought, broke up and got back all the time, but I'm not going to get into their lives. But when we saw things got serious then his older brother would take him and bring him here. And if he was out drinking on the street and got drunk he wouldn't go home. He would go to his brother's house or he would come here, sleep and the following day he would go home."
"If he wanted to intervene, he could have asked what was happening why did you hit my daughter? He could have slapped him, hit him, black and blued his eye if he so wanted but don't go and kill my son just like that without saying a word."
In the presence of his attorney Dickie Bradley, Bull turned himself into police this afternoon.
