Senior Citizen Terrorized By Home Invasion

A senior citizen in Orange Walk Town was terrorized early on Monday morning.

It happened between the hours of 2:00 and 3:00, 81 year old Albert Burns was awakened to the sounds of someone opening his bedroom door, and was ambushed by three dark skinned men with their faces covered. The assailants tied up Burns with a shoelace and bed sheets and ransacked his home. They stole his 12 gauge shotgun, along with $300-$400 in cash, a flip phone, a 50" flat screen TV, and an electric gate motor. The assailants then made their escape in Burn's 2010 Burgundy Toyota 4runner. One hour later Burns was able to get help from a neighbor who set him loose. Police have not yet detained anyone or recovered any of the stolen items.
