The second shooting victim over the weekend was 46-year-old Danny Martinez. He was targeted in Punta Gorda on Friday night. According to ACP Romero, they have one suspect in custody.

"On Friday the 6th of October 2023, police responded to a shooting incident in Punta Gorda Town, on West Street, upon arrival they found Danny Martinez, 46 years, with gunshot injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he is admitted in a stable condition. Information is that he was walking when he was approached by a male person on a motorcycle who fired several shots in his direction. He's in a stable condition at the hospital and investigation into this matter continues."
