And today, attorney Oscar Selgado was also back in court. The session kicked off with him being cross examined by the DPP. During the proceeding he was asked about the complaint made against him by Marlyn Barnes to the General Legal Counsel. He classified the complaint as "frivolous and vexatious," despite the fact that the GLC had asked him to appear before them.

Selgado was then asked about the recordings that were previously played in court, during which Giovanni Ramirez reportedly told the Commissioner of Police that Selgado hired him to kill Barnes. He explained that he believes the recordings contain a story that Ramirez fabricated, and he claimed that he had never met, spoken, or threatened Ramirez.

During the cross examination, Selgado also said that he believe the ComPol maliciously initiated this matter.

At the end of the cross examination, we spoke with Selgado's attorney, who plans to subpoena two witnesses.

Adolph Lucas, Attorney
"It's merely Selgado continuing giving his evidence and he has been cross-examined by the DPP and are going to adjourn until Wednesday when I hope that 2 witnesses will come for the defence."

"That's a usual thing for a witness to be cross-examine and I think that Selgado take care of himself."

The case was adjourned to November 8th.
