After 5 years, 33 year old Marlon Everett was found guilty of a murder he had allegedly committed back in April of 2018. Everett is accused of fatally shooting Albert Johnson, a mentally ill patient on Rectory Lane.

Everett was charged along with His accomplice Israel Usher after the shooting. But in 2019 charges were withdrawn against Usher after police could not gather any evidence to prove that Usher aided Everett in the crime.

Everett appeared before judge Candace Nanton today, where he was found guilty of murder after two main witnesses came forward to testify against him. A total of 11 witnesses were called to the stand during the trial, and Everett was represented in court by attorney Bryan Neal. his sentencing was deferred for January 18th 2024.
