So how will the police keep the village peaceful? That's what we asked the commissioner today:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yes, they may have been aggrieved over the cutting of a tree and the police responded along with the Village Council chairperson and they were able to calm the crowd down and disperse them We're hoping that going forward that we'll be able to get the support and cooperation from the people."
Jules Vasquez
"Are you concerned that there may be another iteration of it or we know it was trimmed or reported it was trimmed by BEL. Might there be some kind of event when BEL goes back to the area?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Diplomacy over brute force and ignorance. That's how we operate and so we're going to use diplomacy, reaching out and speaking to people, doing education campaign, using the chairperson And whenever BEL or BTL goes back into the area to do whatever work police will accompany them Just to make sure that everything goes through peacefully."
