Drunken Common Law Stabbed Wife In Boom

A woman is lucky to be alive after she was stabbed last night in a domestic dispute. It happened in Burrell Boom village just before 8:00. Shona Baptist was at home with her 3 year old son, when her common law showed up, apparently inebriated. An argument ensued and within minutes, he stabbed her -reportedly to the neck. When police responded they found him walking on the property with bloodstains, and carrying a high aroma of alcohol. Police also recovered a knife sheathed in blood. Shona Baptist had already been rushed to the hospital where she is listed in a stable condition.

Reports say angry villagers wanted to go after the perpetrator, and he had to be protected by police.
