And in another shocking crime, a thirteen year old minor was targeted on Sunday night while walking home from a store on Linda Vista Street.
Two males on a motorcycle opened fire towards hitting him to his body. Since the incident police have not yet detained anyone and are trying to establish whether this was a gang motivated crime. ACP Romero told us more today.

"On Sunday, the 10th of March, around 9:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting incident at Linda Vista Street, Belize City, upon arrival, they phoned Rajan Thomas with a gunshot injury. Information is that Thomas was walking on the street when he was approached by a male person who fired shots towards him, causing the injury to him."
"Thomas is presently at the KHMH receiving treatment and is in a stable condition. Investigation continues into this report."

"Has the police been able to determine whether he was targeted or not?"

"Yes, the investigation revealed that he was the one that was targeted."

"Has anyone been detained as yet?"
ACP Hilberto Romero
"No one is detained. We are looking at all the information to try to establish if there is any connection to any gang, so far that has not been determined."
Rival gangs are known to be active in that area.
