Tonight Orange Walk police are looking for a robber or robbers after a major heist at a local business.
When employees of the Westrac Orange Walk arrived at work this morning, they found that it had been burglarized.
A thief broke one of the glass windows in the warehouse, gained entry and ransacked the place. But, the thief or thieves were strategic. They stole the safe which contained over 70 thsoaund dollars in cash. They also stole another $1,500 from the cashier drawers.
But, how did they do it without tripping any alarms? Well, the manager found that the power had been turned off - which may have disabled the alarms. They also found that the fence located on the south west side of the building had been cut.
Police did manage to get surveillance video and that is being reviewed.
