And, in another Cayo crime, yesterday we reported on an alleged robbery/kidnapping that occured at a farm on the Hummingbird Highway, where the caretaker was tied up with tape and kidnapped - while the thieves also stole a GMC Terrain.
Today the Compol confirmed that no arrests have been made:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"That matter is being looked at by the police. We are looking for the vehicle that is missing. I think it is a black GMC terrain that was stolen from the place. I think that the caretaker was being questioned by the police. There are certain things the police want to clarify with him and then we are hoping that we will be able to get some information that will lead to an arrest in that matter."
And in two Cayo crimes that went unreported - a pair of female store owners were held up by gunmen.
The first involved a Valley of Peace store owner Adelia ICal who was held up on July 7th by two armed men who stole cash and jewelry with a total value of $8,200 dollars.
Also, on Panama Street in Belmopan on Tuesday morning, Wendy Cansino was at her grocery shop along with her 4 year old son, when a gunman held her up at gunpoint and stole $600 from the cash pan and a cellphone.
