And while the Compol will be taking steps to retrieve the footage, the Minister of Home Affairs says that he hopes Faber will reconsider his words, and choose to cooperate with them in an effort to reduce crime.
Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairss

"You know when we signed up to run for office to be elected officials to represent the people of Belize it is expected that you are supposed to fight for your people you are supposed to represent all that is good about Belize to be able to fight crime and to play your part as a parliamentarian in fighting crime to make sure your constituents are safe. As I say there yesterday in the house I was in complete disbelief at the words being uttered by my parliamentary friend because it came across as a surrender it came across as a cowardly thing to say that you are not going to cooperate in fighting crime that's not what you're supposed to be doing you are supposed to be working along with the police department and he was saying he felt that way even under the UDP. if you listen to him carefully he's been feeling this way for the last two decades that he will not partake in fighting crime within his constituency and so that speaks volumes to the type of individual that is but you have to step up to the plate man. You signed up to be the representatives for these people not to surrender to criminals and so I really would hope that he would change that philosophy and decide to work along with police in fighting crime."
