A corporal of police is behind bars tonight after he allegedly pulled his police weapon on his wife.
39 year old Myron Williams, appeared unrepresented in court this morning and pleaded not guilty to the charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Williams, originally from Corozal, stationed in Belize City, arrived home on Saturday morning and began to interrogate his spouse about who she was with.
The 32 year old victim claims that Williams then pulled out his gun and pointed it in her direction in a threatening manner. The two then engaged in a physical altercation where she began to scream, and police were then called to the residence.
Williams was detained on Saturday and locked down for the weekend after his wife filed a report and requested court action. Williams has been remanded pending a high court bail application. He is expected to appear back in court on August 16th.
