One of three men accused of pulling off a broad daylight robbery was acquitted of two counts. 26-year-old Erwin Hamilton was found not guilty by the magistrate late this evening. After viewing footage used by a witness to identify Hamilton, the magistrate ruled that the quality was poor and the suspects were wearing masks so the identification could not be proven.
Hamilton was charged after the incident occurred back in September 2021. Three masked men entered into Reimer's Feed Mill, held the manager at gunpoint and robbed him of over $7,000. None of the employees were able to identify the robbers.
In the trial, Hamilton was unrepresented.
