Reduced by attrition and old age, they may have only numbered fort protestors today but the Executive Members of the Association of Beneficiaries and Retired Public Officers held another protest, this time in front of the Ministry of Finance. If you recall, this association was formed to urge the government to dissolve the Public Service Workers Trust and for the 8 million dollars they're owed to be distributed.

According to a press release, they chose that location because that's where the Cabinet meets, however, since the PM is out of the country, no meeting was held.

They explained in the release, though, that after their protest back in March, a meeting was held with the prime minister and other officials on June 4th. At that meeting, they agreed to meet on a monthly basis to review the progress of the actions being taken to dissolve the fun. However, it has been two months since the last meeting, despite reminders sent to the PM's office.

The beneficiaries are now calling on the PM to fulfill his commitment to dissolve the trust and compensate them.
