Salesman Charged For Stealing 30k From Employer

A salesman of A-Mart Supermarket in Trial Farm Orange Walk is out on bail tonight - after he was accused of stealing almost 30 thousand dollars from his employer.

38 year old Virgilio Gomez of San Roman, Corozal, pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of theft for $28,947 dollars, property of his employer, Diversa Trading Belize Ltd.

The allegation is that Gomez failed to hand over thousands of dollars in sales receipts from A Mart Supermarket in Trial Farm Village, Orange Walk.

He received bail of $5,000 dollars and his next court date is set for October 23, 2025.
