We asked Musa about the findings of the report so far:
Jules Vasquez
"Did it find that police officers are responsible as has been alleged credibly?"
Kareem Musa, Min. - Home Affairs
"It has not found that to date. No. Which is why nobody has been charged as yet."
Jules Vasquez
"What what have these officers been questioned?"
Kareem Musa, Min. - Home Affairs
"Yes, they have been."
Jules Vasquez
"What's Mr Flowers saying?"
Kareem Musa, Min. - Home Affairs
"I don't know exactly what Mr. Flowers said."
Jules Vasquez
"You didn't see the report."
Kareem Musa, Min. - Home Affairs
"I don't want to quote. I didn't see it, but like I mentioned, there were ten witnesses, and I'm sure that those police officers who were accused were interviewed. What they said. I'm not sure."
Jules Vasquez
"Sir it has to be an insult to you who went to law school for a good many, many years that the Prime minister, who is a businessman, would seek to keep to himself a report, and he has no legal, and read it to you are like children."
Kareem Musa, Min. - Home Affairs
"No Jules. You have to understand the level of public scrutiny that has been brought on by this particular matter, and the way that the Prime Minister, who chairs the National Security Council, he is ultimately the boss when it comes to security in this country. I am the Minister of Home Affairs, but I don't take any sort of insult or offense to the fact that he is saying, listen, we need to be decisive in this. We're getting, ACP Anderson to investigate this. She will deliver it and we will make it available to cabinet in terms of the findings. And we will get an independent investigator."
