ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"As a result of this CIB personnel from the precinct 1 police station visited the location where they observed several expended shells at the corner of Gibnut Street. So far what we have been able to ascertain is that an unidentified male person is said to have fired the shots in that location and retreated into Gibnut Street. Swift police action which was aided by the technological resources in that area led to the recovery of a 9mm pistol containing six lives rounds of 9mm ammunition which is believed to have been used in that incident. This weapon will be forwarded to the National Forensic and Science Services laboratory for forensic examination and the investigators continue to pursue the leads that they have so far. No motive has been established in this incident."

"The gentleman that was involved, was shot after, was there any other statement given because he was sort of reluctant."

ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"The department would be most grateful if that male person can come forward because so far the information that we have received is that there is no known victim or target so it would be most helpful for that person to make himself known to the police so that we can further this investigation."
