Placencia Hotel Guest Left An Unlicensed Gun Behind

Police are looking for a hotel guest linked to an unlicensed firearm left in a room at the Placencia Hotel in Maya Beach.

On Monday afternoon police received information from the manager that one of their staff members had found a firearm in one of the rooms.

Upon arrival, officers found an unlicensed 9mm Taurus brand pistol along with a magazine containing ten (10) live rounds.

It has been labelled as found property but police have the name of the person who had reserved the room.
