And while the PM is not concerned, as you heard, respondents to the poll were.
Pollster Dr. Phillip Castillo explained how people reacted when asked about the Prime Minister:
Dr. Phillip Castillo, Retired Professor
"The poll question was simply, do you approve of the job that the Prime Minister is doing, that Mr. John Briceno is doing as prime minister of Belize?"
"It was a yes, no, don't know, not sure. Now, some people will explain their answer. They were not asked to. But some people did provide explanations for their answer. So that came up. The issue of SMART and BTL came up and came up several times. And so I would want to do a poll focusing on that issue. So back to your question, I didn't ask about that issue specifically. I asked about the prime minister's approval rating."
"Some respondents who had a negative approval rating of him, they voiced that issue as the reason why their opinion was negative."
Jaleeza Roberts -
"So do you believe that that has an impact on how he's being viewed as favorable?"

Dr. Phillip Castillo, Retired Professor
"Well, it certainly has. It certainly has. Yes, that and other issues."
Castillo noted that due to the size of the Dangriga constituency it is not a general gauge for the rest of the country.
You can see more on the poll later on in our newscast when he discusses more of his findings.
