And another UDP Senator, Patrick Faber, spoke about the recent murders and missing persons. The latest teenage boy killed is the nephew of UDP media personality Alfonso Noble. Faber recalled what would have happened under the Barrow administration when such a spike in crime occurred, comparing it to what he considered the current government's feigned ignorance.

Patrick Faber, UDP Senator

"This morning we woke up to a young man being killed through the Boom road, they found his body, Mr Cambranes. Over the past week and a half, people have been missing, bodies are turning up in swamps, people are just disappearing, kidnapping is happening. I remember under the term of the Rt Hon Dean Barrow and the various persons who served as police ministers and so. When you saw a weekend happen and a two, three murders happened, the people of this country were in an uproar and you got a response not only from the minister who was responsible, I can't even tell you who the minister is right now because he's a waste of time. But not only do we not know and have not heard from these people. When it was the rt hon Dean Barrow who was in charge of this country, that would have been a national crisis, he would have locked all of you off, right Mr Broaster, in Raccoon Street, I'm not sure if the roof was leaking back them, but all the top brass of the police and coast guard and everybody would have been locked down and we would have come up with an immediate measure to address the crime and violence in this country."

"But now the crime and violence off the hook and we sit down, they disrespect us, the prime minister behaves like nothing is happening, the minister behaves like nothing is happening, the CEOs behave like nothing is happening and we are just supposed to take it."
