Following the April 10 bust and the seizure of aviation fuel, police believe they dismantled a major narcotics operation. Because disruptions of this scale often trigger retaliation from criminal networks, the Commissioner noted that investigators are closely analyzing key evidence recovered from the site.

"Both incidents are ongoing investigations and I also want to highlight that we have made some successes in the investigation in Neuland in fact, subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 15 containers of aviation fuel and 4 sack of lights that we discovered in the Nueland area which we believe would have been used for the subsequent landing of that aircraft. So we are having the investigation is progressing appropriately."
