We also asked the Toledo West area representative about another subject of urgent public interest in his constituency.

On April 13th, Indian Creek Alcalde Marcus Canti disappeared. He reappeared on the 15th and told police two men abducted him, took him into the bushes and tied him up.

Well today we asked the Minister of Toledo West what were his thoughts and he said that even though the investigation into the alleged abduction is not over, the case is still concerning:

Oscar Requena, Toledo West Area Rep

"What I did is I tried calling him, unfortunately he did not have a phone but I did reach out through community members and families."

Reporter
"Were you aware of the abduction when it occurred?"

Oscar Requena, Toledo West Area Rep
"Yes,I'm aware."

Reporter
"And what's your perspective on it?"

Oscar Requena, Toledo West Area Rep
"Well we're very concerned, I mean this is very concerning, certainly we don't want to put anybody's life at danger and obviously the circumstances of you know what happened are still not clear because from my understanding the police are still investigating but what I can say to you is that when any person's life is put at danger, particularly in this case a leader of the community, it's very concerning and I'm happy that the community came together again the authorities, we had the BDF and everybody else, I was involves obviously behind the scenes working to support the village of Indian creek, to support the authorities and thankfully we're happy that the alcalde was able to return back home safely. What happens next in terms of the circumstances of the investigation, I don't think that is something fro me to speak to, that is for the authorities."
