The Belize Fund for a Sustainable Future today issued over $600,000 in grants to conservation organizations. It's their 4th cycle and the grants are awarded to entities that implement projects to strengthen sustainable livelihoods and protect Belize's marine ecosystems.
This year, the funding was awarded to Yugadan Fisherfolks Association Limited, Barranco Botanics, Wabafu Fishermen Association, and Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association. The executive director spoke of the success of last year's grant recipients during the ceremony.
